Video of police thrashing a man during license check goes viral

A video showing a man being thrashed brutally by an on-duty police official has gone viral on social media, of late.

While checking the driver's license and bluebook at night by the police, the man is overheard saying, "I will call, wait."  

No sooner the man attempts to call, the video footage reveals the police kicking him. The young man tries to run away to avoid the police, but the policeman chases him and kicks him near an electric pole.

The video clearly shows the man being kicked below the waist, saying, "Are you calling? Who are you calling? Are you turning to power for help?"

This video is from the Bharatpur Metropolitan City, near Bypass Road in ​​Chitwan. Chitwan Police Chief SP Gautam Mishra said that an investigation has been launched to investigate the incident after the video showing the police thrashing a man, who appears to be around 25 years old, wearing a white shirt and black pants, went viral.

According to SP Mishra, a three-member investigation committee has been formed led by DSP Gyan Kumar Mahato to investigate the incident.

"We are verifying the location where the incident took place," he told Nepalkhabar, "We will conduct the necessary investigation into the incident and initiate action against the guilty in due course."
