Mother and son killed in Tanahun motorcycle accident

The deceased killed in the motorcycle accident in Tanahun this morning have been identified as a mother and her son.

Two people had died in a motorcycle accident at Tallo Chhirkan in Byas Municipality-12 along the Prithvi Highway this morning.

According to DSP Ashok Thapa of District Police Office, Tanahun, the deceased are 19-year-old Sandep Ale of Rishing Rural Municipality-6, Chalise, his 40-year-old mother Madhumaya Ale, who was riding pillion.

The accident took place when a motorcycle, Province 03-001 Pa 310, heading to Dumre met with an accident from Damauli. Over speed and mist were attributed to have been the case of accident.

"The high speeding motorcycle hit the left-side culvert and fell some 8 meters down the road," said DSP Thapa, "The boy and his mother died on the spot."  

The bodies have been taken to the hospital for postmortem. DSP Thapa said they are investigating the case.
