Man, accused in human-trafficking case, repatriated to Nepal from Oman

A man, who was on the run after being accused in a human trafficking case, has been arrested from Oman.

Binod Paudel of Badhaiya Rural Municipality-2, Bardiya, currently staying at Tokha Municipality-3, Kathmandu, against whom a red notice had been issued through the Interpol, was repatriated to Nepal after his arrest in Oman.

Paudel was arrested in coordination with NCB Abu Muscat, Oman and brought to Nepal on Wednesday.  

The General Secretariat of Interpol on December 27 had issued a red notice to Paudel, who was on the run after being accused in the human trafficking case, at the request of the NCB, Kathmandu.

He has been handed over to the Anti-Human Trafficking Bureau of Nepal Police for necessary action, said the Interpol section at the Nepal Police Headquarters, Naxal.
