Metro Transport adds 40 buses to its fleet, launches services from Thankot to Dhulikhel (photos)

Metropolitan Transport Pvt Ltd has launched bus services from Thankot to Dhulikhel.

The Thankot-Dhulikhel bus service was launched amidst a program today.

The Metropolitan Transport which was operating bus services on Ring Road added 40 additional buses of TATA Company to its fleet starting today.

With the addition of the new buses, the number of total buses of Metropolitan Transport has reached 89, the company has said.

Sipradi Trading Pvt handed over the keys of the buses to the Metropolitan Transport Pvt Ltd. The company has also begun operating bus services to the other routes apart from Ring Road, said Santosh Khatwada, the vice chairman of the company.

"The Metropolitan Transport has started bus services from Thankot to Dhulikhel from today itself," said Khatiwada.

He further said that the metropolis will soon launch 10 electric vehicles in the future with the aim of taking the number to 50 in the future. Meanwhile, it has also announced to convert it into public company from the private.
