EV charging stations come into operation in Chitwan

Two electric vehicle (EV) charging stations have come into operation in Chitwan.

The charging stations placed by the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) at the central bus park in Bharatpur have been put into operation, said NEA engineer Sagar Gyawali.

Chitwan district has a total of three Ev charging stations. Meanwhile, work of the charging station at Muglin Bazar has reached its final stage.

The two stations that have come into opertion were constructed at a cost of around Rs 9 million.

Up to six Evs can be charged simultaneously in the two charging stations at Bharatpur bus park.

The charging stations are based on two different technology CCH and GBT for charging EVs.
