Int'l Women's C'ship: Nepal takes lead 1-0 against Lebanon

Nepal has taken a 1-0 lead against Lebanon in the first half of the International Women's Football Championship, 2025 underway at Dasharath Stadium.

Nepal's striker Sabitra Bhandari 'Samba' scored a goal against Lebanon in the 42nd minute, giving Nepal a lead.

Sabita Rana Magar's header from Bimala Chaudhary's corner was cleared by Lebanon, but Samba's shot on the rebound deflected off Lebanon's Farah Tayar and went into the goalpost.  

In the eighth minute of the game, Nepal's goalkeeper Anjila Tumbapo Subba punched away a shot from Christy Maalouf.

In the tenth minute, Bimala Chaudhary's header went over the crossbar. In the 13th minute, Lili Iskandar's shot went wide near the first bar. In the 15th minute, Preeti Rai's shot went over the crossbar. In the 22nd minute, Sabitra Bhandari's shot from Rekha Paudel's back pass went wide near the second bar.
