Nepal suffered a 2-0 defeat against Myanmar in the final of the Four Nations International Women's Championship held at Dasharath Stadium in Kathmandu on Wednesday.

Despite exerting pressure on the opponent, the Nepali team failed to convert their chances into goals, struggling to break down Myanmar's strong defense. This loss marks another runner-up finish for Nepal, their third in the last year.

Myanmar secured the victory with goals from Yu Par Khin and captain Win Theingi Tun. Khin opened the scoring in the 62nd minute, dribbling past defenders to slot the ball into the net. Just two minutes later, Tun doubled Myanmar's lead with a header from a Phyu Phyu Win's free-kick.

Nepal created several opportunities throughout the match. In the first half, Bimala BK made a crucial goal-line clearance to deny San Thaw Thaw. Later, Samba's header was cleared off the line, and follow-up shots from Rekha Paudel and Sabita Rana Magar were blocked by Myanmar defenders. In the second half, goalkeeper saved shots from Rashmi Kumari Ghising and Samba.

The defeat continues Nepal's winless streak against Myanmar in six encounters. This is also Nepal's third consecutive runner-up finish in major tournaments, following losses to Jordan in the WAFF Women's Championship and Bangladesh in the SAFF Championship last year.
