The British Council's New Directions South Asia 2025 conference, a first for the region, concluded successfully, addressing critical challenges in English language learning and assessment.
The two-day event, held in Delhi on February 21-22, brought together experts from across South Asia and the UK, focusing on the intersection of technology and traditional assessment methods.
The conference, which featured discussions on AI in education, assessing young learners, and English for employability, aimed to enhance the quality of English language education in the region.
A parallel session in Kathmandu, in collaboration with the Nepal English Language Teachers' Association, facilitated local discussions on multilingual contexts and AI's role in assessment.
