The central committee member of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), Mohan Thapa, has been arrested in the United States of America (USA).
RSP leader Manish Jha informed that Thapa has been taken into custody by the Immigration Department of the USA.
"RSP Central Committee member Mohan Thapa has reportedly been taken into custody by the Immigration Department of the USA," said Jhapa, "A few days earlier, he had tendered his resignation as a central member citing some legal issues."
Thapa's name has already been removed from the website of the party, the RSP said.
Thapa is considered close to Rabi Lamichhane. He had been arrested a week ago.
