NEPSE posts turnover of Rs 14 billion today

While Guardian witnesses positive circuit, Samaj Laghubitta negative

The transaction of share markets has crossed 14 billion rupees on Monday, the second trading day of the week.  

After a 75-point surge to Rs 14.25 billion on Sunday, the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) saw minor corrections, resulting in a slight increase to Rs 14.28 billion.

With the benchmark index climbing 13.62 points to 2876.66 today, the NEPSE also witnessed a substantial increase in trading volume, from 29.1 million shares yesterday to 31.1 million shares today.

While the share value of 51 companies increased, 187 companies witnessed decline in their share values while that of six companies' remained unchanged.

The Guardian Micro Life Insurance witnessed a positive circuit, Dibyeshwari Hydro's share value increased by 9.45 percent, Sindhu Bikas Bank (7.85), while that of Himalayan Reinsurance's upped by 7.25 percent today.

On the other hand, Samaj Laghubitta witnessed a negative circuit. Besides, Upakar Laghubitta's share value decreased by 7.24 percent, Barahi Hydropower's (by 6.77), and that of Support Microfinance and Bhugol Energy went down by 6.6 and 6.42 percent, respectively.

 On the transaction front, Himalayan Reinsurance posted the highest turnover of Rs 1.38 billion followed by Nepal Reinsurance with Rs 730 million while Himalayan Distillery made a transaction of Rs 360 million.  

Although collective investment, non-life insurance, and other sub-indices witnessed increase in their share values, all the other sectors turned red today.
