Jyoti Chaudhary, 35, of Dhangadhi Sub-metropolitan City-7, Kailali, who was seriously injured after attempting self-immolation, died today.
According to the District Police Office, Chaudhary was injured after setting himself on fire inside his house last Saturday evening. His relatives immediately rushed him to Seti Provincial Hospital, Dhangadhi for treatment with burns on about 60 percent of his body.
Although he was referred to Bheri Hospital, Nepalgunj for further treatment he was taken to Kathmandu.
Superintendent of Police of District Police Office, Kailali, Kailash Singh Bista confirmed that he died on the way to the hospital this morning. Meanwhile, an investigation has been launched into the incident.
