Father, daughter killed in landslide

A father and his daughter were killed in a landslide at Bhatbeshi of Madhya Nepal Municipality-7 in Lamjung, this morning.

The deceased have been identified as Tik Bahadur BK, 59, and his youngest daughter, Binita BK, according to the Area Police Office, Bhorletar. The landslide struck the two-story mud house, leaving two family members dead, according to Police Inspector Dhruba Prasad Sharma.

BK's spouse Sukamaya, and his eldest daughter, Asmita, sustained injuries in the incident and have been taken to the hospital for treatment. The house belongs to a local Bishnu Dutta Sudbei.

The landslide was triggered by the collapse of a local canal above the house.
