All the medical persons of Narayani Hospital in Birgunj have resigned en masse.
The doctors have tendered resignations in protest of the vandalism and beating of the medical persons at the hospital on Saturday.
Following the incident, the disgruntled doctors took to the streets demanding the resignation of Chief District Office and the Chief of the District Police Office. They resigned en masse after the concerned authority did not pay heed to their demands.
According to pediatrician Dr Ramsuphal, out of 70 doctors at the hospital, 30 submitted resignations to Medical Superintendent Chittaranjan Sah at 10 pm yesterday.
The number of doctors resigning from their posts has reached around 65, he told Nepalkhabar.
