The government has registered bills in the Parliament Secretariat to replace five of the six ordinances it had issued.
Out six ordinances issued earlier by the government, only five corresponding replacement bills were presented for the time being.
According to the Parliament Secretariat, the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers has registered the Ordinance to amend some Nepal Acts relating to the promotion of good governance and public service delivery, 2081, the Economic Procedures and Fiscal Responsibility (First Amendment) Ordinance, 2081, the Privatization (First Amendment) Ordinance, 2081.
Similarly, the other ordinanaces registered at the secretariat include the Ordinance to amend some Nepal Acts relating to economic and business environment improvement and investment promotion, 2081, and the Ordinance to amend some Nepal Acts relating to cooperatives, 2081, were approved by the Upper House with a majority.
All five ordinances have been approved by both houses of the Federal Parliament. After the government issues any ordinance, it must be approved by the Parliament and replaced with a bill within 60 days of the commencement of the Federal Parliament session.
The cabinet meeting held at Baluwatar on Wednesday evening approved the registration of the bills. The Parliament Secretariat has stated that these bills were registered on Thursday.
