Rabina Thapa has taken charge as the Executive President of Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA). In accordance with the mandate of the 10th convention of the association held last March, Thapa has been the executive president of the association since Sunday.
The general convention had given the executive role to Kul Acharya for first six months according to the multi-term system. Addressing the official meeting of the association held through virtual means on Saturday, Acharya informed that he has handed over the executive post to Thapa in accordance with the mandate of the convention.
Speaking at the meeting, Executive President Thapa appreciated Acharya's contribution to the association in the last six months. Acharya will now remain as the ceremonial president within the association, and after six months, another president Dr. Badri KC will play an executive role and will formally hand over the leadership at the 11th convention of the association to be held in October next year.
