Gagan Thapa all set to file candidacy for PP leader against Deuba

General Secretary Gagan Thapa of the Nepali Congress (NC) is all set to file his candidacy for the post of the Parliamentary Party (PP) leader.

NC senior leader Dr Shekhar Koirala has proposed Thapa for the post and his candidacy is seconded by Vice President Dhan Raj Gurung and another General Secretary Bishwa Prakash Sharma.

Thapa is registering his candidacy at the Office of the NC Parliamentary Party in Singha Durbar today itself.

General Secretary Sharma, who supports Thapa, had contested the elections in the 14th General Convention from Prakash Man Singh panel. Currently, Singh is in the Deuba camp.

The NC PP election is scheduled to be held from 8 am tomorrow (Wednesday).
