The Nepali Army has been deployed in Tinkune area after tension flared following vandalism carried out by pro-march demonstrators in Kathmandu today.
SSP Bishwa Adhikari, the chief of the District Police Range, Kathmandu, informed Nepalkhabar that the army has been deployed to the tense Tinkune area.
The royalists staged a protest in the Tinkune area. As the protest turned violent, the protestors carried out arson attacks and vandalisms to public properties including private houses and offices in the Tinkune area.

The decision to deploy the army was made by the District Security Committee meeting immediately after the curfew was clamped in the tense area. The curfew has been imposed in the area from Gaushala to Airport, Gairidhara, Tinkune to Koteshwar, Koteshwar to Jadibuti, Baneshwar to Shankhamul, and Gaushala to Old Baneshwar to New Baneshwor.
The administration stated that the curfew order has been issued from 4:25 PM to 10:00 PM.
Additionally, the administration has prohibited any rallies, gatherings, processions, demonstrations, meetings, or blockades in these areas during the curfew period.
