CPN (UML) Secretary and Member of Parliament (MP) Yogesh Bhattarai stated that the state should revoke facilities of former king Gyanendra on the aground of "breaching the agreement".

Lawmaker Yogesh Bhattarai has argued that the state should withdraw all privileges provided to former King Gyanendra Shah, claiming he violated the agreement by participating in a protest in Kathmandu on March 28.

Bhattarai asserted that since Shah has "broken the agreement" through his recent political activities, the facilities granted to him as a former Head of State should be revoked.

He also labeled Durga Prasai and his supporters as "hooligans," alleging, "former king Gyanendra sent these hooligans to burn people's homes. He was shifted from Narayanhiti to Nirmal Niwas under an agreement that granted him facilities as the former Head of State.

"Now, he has breached the agreement. We must reconsider whether he still deserves these facilities," said Bhattarai.
