Rabi Lamichhane has returned to the role of president of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP).
The first meeting of the central committee of the party today decided to give Lamichhane back the role of president. Acting general secretary Kabindra Burlakoti shared that the second meeting of the committee is being held today under the chairmanship of president Lamichhane.
Central members will brief about the activities of the party and its role in the meeting parliament. The meeting is also scheduled to discuss the general convention schedule, and the countrywide awareness and debate to be held based on the party's political report.
It may be noted that Lamichhane had stepped down from the post of president after a case was filed against him in court for alleged cooperatives fraud. Since then, Vice-President Dol Prasad Aryal had assumed the role of acting president.
