The Nepal government and Thai government have signed two separate Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) related to culture and tourism.

The MoUs were signed in the presence of Prime Minister of Nepal, KP Sharma Oli, and his Thai counterpart Paetongtran Shinawatra amidst a ceremony.

Foreign Minister Dr Arzu Rana Deuba signed the MoUs on behalf of the Nepal government while Minister for Culture Sudawan Wangsuphakijkosol inked the MoU related to culture and Minister for Tourism and Sports Sorawong Thienthong the MoU related to tourism cooperation on behalf of Thailand.

"On behalf of the Government of Nepal, I have signed a Cultural Agreement between the Government of Nepal and the Government of the Kingdom of Thailand and a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Government of Nepal and the Government of the Kingdom of Thailand on Tourism Cooperation," Minister Rana mentioned on X following the agreement.

Similarly, a MoU on mutual collaboration and promotion of trade and business has been signed between the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) and The Thai Chamber of Commerce and Board of Trade of Thailand.

FNCCI President Chandra Prasad Dhakal and Chairman of Thai Chamber of Commerce and Board of Trade, Sanan Angubolkul, signed the MoU in the presence of the two Prime Ministers.

These agreements aim to further bolster Nepal-Thailand ties across trade, tourism and cultural sectors, the Foreign Ministry said.
