Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, who is on an official visit to Thailand, had a meeting with Prime Minister of Myanmar, Min Aung Hlaing today.
Prime Minister Oli, who is currently in Bangkok to attend the 6th Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC) Summit, had a sideline meeting with the Prime Minister of Myanmar Hlaing.
They discussed ways to further strengthen bilateral, regional and multilateral relations. Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr Arzu Rana Deuba, Prime Minister's chief advisor Bishnu Prasad Rimal and Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Amrit Bahadur Rai were present in the meeting.
Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli along with heads of state of the BIMSTEC member countries summit have gathered in Thailand.
They attended a dinner hosted by Thailand's Prime Minister Paetongtam Shinawatra for the top leaders at the Hotel Shangrila today. They had a group meeting on the occasion.
Prime Minister Oli is attending the BIMSTEC Summit after wrapping up his first official visit to Thailand.

Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Oli also met with his Bhutanese counterpart Tshering Tobgay.
The two leaders met on the sidelines of the BIMSTEC) Summit.
They recalled their meeting in New York on the sidelines of the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly in September last year and discussed various aspects of mutual cooperation.
