MoU on judicial collaboration between Supreme Courts of Nepal and India

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on judicial cooperation and collaboration has been signed between the Supreme Court of Nepal and the Supreme Court of India.

A MoU was signed today between the Supreme Courts of both countries to develop, promote and strengthen judicial cooperation between the two countries. The MoU was signed in the presence of Chief Justice of Nepal Prakash Man Singh Raut and Chief Justice of India Sanjiv Khanna, according to the Indian Embassy in Nepal.

The MoU aims to develop, promote and strengthen cooperation between the judiciaries of the two countries. It will encourage mutual exchange of information on the latest developments in the field of law and justice and promote interaction between judges and officials of the judiciary through programs such as exchange of visits, short-term and long-term training and educational programs.

As per the MoU, a joint working group comprising officials of the two judiciary will be constituted to promote and further strengthen judicial cooperation, prepare plans and frameworks for the same.
