Bodies of two missing siblings retrieved from the Narayani River

The bodies of a sister and her younger brother, who went missing in the Narayani River in Gaindakot Municipality-1, East Nawalparasi, have been found.

The bodies of the two siblings who went missing in the river on Tuesday evening have been retrieved by a team of divers, Armed Police Force DSP Shailendra Thapa said.

According to DSP Thapa, 13-year-old Diksha Serpunja and Swapnil Serpunja of Gaindakot-1 drowned in the Narayani River at 5:30 PM yesterday.

A team of divers led by APF Assistant Sub Inspector Bhup Bahadur Budhathoki retrieved the body of Swapnil from the depth of 35 meters, while that of Diksha's from 50 meters, said DSP Thapa.
