Lightning kills one, injures seven in Doti

A woman died and seven others sustained injuries when lightning struck them in Doti district Wednesday night.

Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office, Doti, Binod Sharma, said the deceased has been identified as Kamala Nagari, 33, of Dallekh of Sayal rural municipality-6.

Similarly, Kamala's 10-year-old daughter Tara, eight-year-old son Abishek, six-year-old son Abi and three-month-old son Shankar were injured in the incident.

The lightning coupled with rain, storm and hailstone hit them when they were inside the house.

Likewise, Tara Nagari, 40, Kali Damai, 80 and six-year-old Khusi Nagari, daughter of Bhim Nagari, of the same place were also injured in the incident, he added.
