Senior Advocate Dr. Bijaya Prasad Mishra has been elected as the President of the Nepal Bar Association's Central Executive Committee.
He defeated his closest rival, Raman Kumar Shrestha, by a margin of 2,431 votes.
Mishra received 5,052 votes, while Shrestha secured 2,621 votes.
The voting took place on Saturday, on April 5, and the vote counting was completed on Thursday.
The election committee is set to make a formal announcement shortly.
Similarly, Kedar Prasad Koirala has been elected as the General Secretary of the Nepal Bar. Koirala, who was a candidate from Mishra's panel, received 4,874 votes, while his closest rival, Yagyamani Neupane, got 2,367 votes.
Similarly, Padam Prasad Limbu (Koshi Pradesh), Ajaya Shankar Jha ((Madhesh Pradesh), and Tej Bahadur Rawal (Bagmati Pradesh) have been elected as vice presidents representing the Mishra panel.
Bhupendra Khanal (Gandaki Pradesh), Krishna Prasad Pokharel (Lumbini), Bibash Kumar Basnet (Karnali Pradesh) and Siddha Raj Ojha (Sudurpaschim Pradesh) have been elected as vice presidents.
Likewise, Saraswati Shrestha has been elected as the female vice president, while Jagat Bahadur Karki has been elected as the treasurer.

Chiranjibi Tilkyani, Surya Kumar Yadav, Rinku Kumari Yadav, Raj Kumar Shrestha, Mangal Sundar Shilpakar, Indira Acharya, Ranjita Karki, Kiran Paudel have been elected as members under the inclusive category.
Kiran Neupane, Sharada Gurung, Daman Bahadur Chand, Baburam Aryal, Mukunda Adhikari and Madhav Mainali have been elected as members under the open category. They are all from the Mishra panel.
