Five Nepali nationals held for allegedly selling cannabis in Kerala, India

Five Nepali nationals have been arrested from the Indian State of Kerala for allegedly selling cannabis, Indian media reports said on Wednesday citing local police.

The accused were held from a house at Thazhe Vettipuram in Pathanamthitta on Tuesday, Kerala police said. Police have seized two-and-a-half kilogram cannabis from their possession.

Local police have launched a probe against the arrestee.

The initial investigation has revealed that the Nepali nationals were found involved in the illegal trade of ganja in the town in recently.

During the police interrogation, the accused admitted that the ganja was smuggled into India from Nepal for the sale, according to www.eastcoastdaily.in.
