The Nepali Congress has assigned Vice President Purna Bahadur Khadka with the responsibility of Acting President.
Khadka was entrusted with the responsibility after President Sher Bahadur Deuba left for Bangkok, the capital city of Thailand, on Sunday.
Deuba left for Bangkok, along with his family members for a visit.
"Khadka was entrusted with the responsibility of the Acting President in accordance with Article 25 (13) of the Party Statue, 2017," reads the press note issued by the Nepali Congress today.
