Newly appointed Education Minister Raghuji Pant taking oath from President Ramchandra Paudel at Shital Niwas on Thursday.

Newly appointed Education Minister Raghuji Pant has taken the oath of office and secrecy.

President Ramchandra Paudel administered the oath of office and secrecy to Pant amidst a ceremony held at Shital Niwas.

Pant was appointed as the Minister for Education, Science and Technology on Wednesday.

The post of the Education Ministry was lying vacant after former Education Minister Bidya Bhattarai resigned from her post. Pant is the lawmaker elected through the proportional representation system.

He was a sharp critic of KP Oli during the latter's previous tenure as the prime minister.

An influential leader of the Madhav Nepal camp, Pant had stood against the party split.
