Speaker Devraj Ghimire has issued a ruling to the government to hold the diplomatic dialogue with India to bring out facts about the death of a Nepali student Prisa Sah at Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT).
Ghimire issued the ruling to the government after the lawmakers raised this issue in the House of Representatives on Sunday.
"My attention has been drawn toward the death of Prisa raised by the lawmakers in the House meeting," said Ghimire, "The death of students going abroad for their bright future is a serious issue. I would like to direct the government to find the facts behind Prisa's death through a diplomatic initiative."
Similarly, Ghimire also made an appeal to the government to adopt long-term policies to ensure the safety of the Nepali students abroad.
Earlier, the National Assembly also directed the government to take the diplomatic initiative to investigate Prisa's death.
