Nepal has advanced into Super 3 of the ICC Women T20 World Cup Asia Qualifiers after the match between Hong Kong and Bahrain was canceled due to rain on Friday.
Following the cancellation of the match, Nepal advanced into Super 3 despite Nepal and Hong Kong having equal 5 points due to more wins.
However, the Hong Kong was ahead of Nepal on run rate.
While Nepal won two, lost one and had one abandoned out of four matches, Hong Kong won one and had three abandoned. Nepal lost to Hong Kong but defeated Bahrain twice, paving the way for it to advance into Super 3.
Out of the nine teams divided into three groups, top team from each group has qualified for Super 3. Thailand from Group A, UAE from Group B and Nepal from Group C have entered into Super 3.
These three teams will play against each other and top two teams will qualify for World Cup Global Qualifiers.
