Nepal faced a 78-run defeat at the hands of Thailand in the final match of the Super 3 under the ICC Women's T20 World Cup Asia Qualifier.
Chasing the target of 159 runs set by Thailand, Nepal could manage to score only 80 runs in the allotted 20 overs, losing 9 wickets.
Kabita Kumal scored the highest 24 runs for Nepal. Facing 33 balls and hitting 1 boundary, Kabita was eventually run out.
Rubina Chhetri was caught out after scoring 12 runs while Rajmati Airee contributed 20 runs and remained unbeaten.
Sajana Khadka scored 9, Captain Indu Barma made 7, and Rubi Poddar scored 4 before returning to the pavilion.

Aphisara Suwanchonrathi scored 29 runs off 43 balls, including 1 boundary, before being caught by Riya Sharma off Rajmati Airee's delivery.
Wicketkeeper-batter Nannapat Koncharoenkai remained unbeaten on 50, while Nattaya Boochatham was not out on 15.
Both Nepal and Thailand have already secured their places in the Global Qualifier from the Asia Qualifier.
