The government is making public the budget for the Fiscal Year (FY) 2025/26 today.
Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel is scheduled to present the annual estimates of revenue and expenditure for the upcoming fiscal year in a joint meeting of the National Assembly and the House of Representatives at 3 PM.
Prior to that, Speaker Devraj Ghimire will read out a letter from the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers regarding additional responsibilities and present it to the assembly at 1:30 PM.
Similarly, Finance Minister Paudel will present the Economic Survey for the Fiscal Year 2024/25 in the House of Representatives at 1:30 PM, and at the National Assembly at 1:45 PM, the Parliament Secretariat has said.
According to the Parliament Secretariat, all members of parliament have been requested to be present in the House meeting hall before 2:45 PM, well ahead of the budget presentation.
