Finance Minister Bishnu Paudel has stated that Nepal's economic growth for the current fiscal year (FY) is projected to be at 4.61 percent.
While presenting the economic survey for the fiscal year 2081/82 BS, Minister Paudel mentioned that, except for Madhesh, Koshi, and the Far-Western provinces, the average economic growth of the other four provinces is expected to be higher.
The survey outlines the overall economic situation of the current fiscal year's eight months and the previous fiscal year. According to the report, the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) is estimated to reach NPR 6.1 trillion and 7 billion.
In the current fiscal year, agriculture is projected to grow by 25.16 percent, industry by 12.16 percent, and the service sector by 62.1 percent.
It has been reported that the per capita gross national income has increased to US$ 1,517.
