Nepal defeated Scotland by 1 wicket in a nail-biting thriller under the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup League 2 held in Scotland.
Nepal reached the target of 297 runs set by Scotland, losing nine wickets in the allotted 50 overs. Karan KC topped the score with 65 runs, including 3 fours and 4 sixes off 41 deliveries, and remained not out. Kushal Bhurtel scored 53 runs, including 11 fours off 44 balls, followed by Gulshan Jha with 42 runs, while Captain Rohit Paudel made 37 runs. Similarly, Aasif Sheikh scored 20 runs. The other batsmen could not score significant runs.

In reply, Brandon McMullen took the highest 3 wickets giving away 47 runs while Jack Jarvis and Michael Leask grabbed 2 wickets each. Jasper Davidson and Mark Watt 1 wicket each for Scotland.
Earlier, invited to bat first after losing the toss at the Forthill Cricket Ground in Dundee, Scotland notched up 296 runs losing 7 wickets in the allotted 50 overs.
Charlie Tear topped the score with 80 runs including 12 fours and 1 six off 72 balls followed by Finlay McCreath with 55 runs including 3 fours and 1 six off 67 deliveries.
Similarly, captain Richie Berrington made 40 runs off 46 deliveries while Matthew Cross contributed 39 runs off 56 balls. Brandon McMullen, Michael Leask, George Munsey and Mark Watt contribued 19, 18, 12, and 10 runs, respectively.

On the bowling side, Rijan Dhakal, Karan KC and Sompal Kami grabbed 2 wickets each giving away, 78, 43 and 66 runs, respectively for Nepal. Similarly, Sandeep Lamichhane claimed 1 wicket.
There are Nepal, UAE, Namibia, Canada, Scotland, Oman, Netherlands and America in League 2.
