In what we call a shocking incident, four members of a Nepali family were found dead in their rented apartment in Manassas Park Virginia, USA.
According to the Fairfax County Police Department, the grim discovery was made late Thursday night after the landlord requested a welfare check on the tenants.
Officers arrived at the scene around 10:40 PM local time and discovered the bodies of 38-year-old Santosh Pariyar, 36-year-old Anju Shrestha, their 8-year-old daughter, and 2-year-old son in the ground floor apartment. Preliminary investigations suggest that all four victims died from gunshot wounds. A firearm was also recovered at the scene.
Authorities have not yet released further details, and the investigation remains ongoing. The Nepali community in the area has been left in a state of shock as they await more information on this heartbreaking incident.
According to News4, the victims were a family who moved into the neighborhood about six months ago and were from Nepal.
