Foreign Minister Arzu Rana Deuba has said that relations with different countries are becoming stronger through traditions and dialogue.

At the fourth Professor Dr Yadunath Khanal Lecture Series organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs here on Thursday, Foreign Minister Rana said that China and Nepal are working closely together to achieve prosperity by adhering to the principle of non-interference in each other’s internal affairs and the One-China Policy.

Stating that China is a major source of foreign aid to Nepal, Rana also said that the BRI agreement signed between Nepal and China will give impetus to Nepal’s development.

“The two countries have agreed to expand air and people-to-people relations and deepen cooperation in other areas,” she said while noting that the progress made by China in poverty alleviation in a short period of time is exemplary for Nepal.

Speaking on the main theme of the program, political scientist Dr Jayaraj Acharya said that if we want to benefit from China's growing prosperity and its growing influence on the world stage we need to work with tactical diplomatic skills.

Similarly, another keynote speaker, Chinese foreign policy expert Professor Yang Chenqi, said that the age-old relationship with Nepal has always been a priority for China, and added that China is ready to support Nepal in every effort to develop its economy and cooperate in its economic growth.
