Two youths died when a motorcycle collided with a truck parked in Birguj, Parsa on Friday. Another youth sustained critical injuries in the accident.
According to the District Police Office, Parsa, the accident occurred when a motorcycle (Bagmati Province 03-004 Pa 8612) crashed into an Indian truck (HR 55 Ke 3971) that was parked on the roadside after breaking down.
The District Police Office, Parsa, said that Ramakant Yadav and Bijay Yadav, residents of Chipaharmai Rural Municipality in Parsa, died in the accident.
The incident took place around 5 AM on today at a place called Sitaram in Birgunj Metropolitan City-22, along the Dryport road section.
Police spokesperson Kishor Lamsal of Parsa informed that among the three youths seriously injured in the motorcycle accident, two died during treatment.
In the accident, 22-year-old Bijaya Kumar Yadav from the same area was critically injured. Police stated that he is undergoing treatment at the hospital.
The truck driver fled after the accident, and a search is underway to nab the fugitive. Police suspect that the accident occurred due to over speed, causing the three riders to lose control of the motorcycle.
DSP Lamsal said further investigation into the accident is underway.
