ZipFlyer Nepal in Pokhara has set the world record for being the tallest, longest and the steepest zip line in the world.
The zip-line established by High Ground Adventures Private Limited as an arm of adventure sports has an initial incline of 56 degrees, which makes it the steepest Zipline in the world, a total length of 1,850 meters and a vertical drop of more than 600 meters.
The Zipflyer extends from Sarangkot to Hemja.
HighGround Adventures Chief Operations Officer Dinesh Maharjan said they received world record certificate last week only. Of the 3 bodies that provide world record certificate, they received the first certificate and would get the rest following due process.
Maharjan informed that the World Book of Records would provide the second certificate and the Guinness Book of Records the third. The World Book of Records would verify their status within the next month.
According to him, the zipline starts from Sarangkot (altitude 1,550 meters) and ends at Hemja (altitude 950 meters) -- a drop of 600 meters, which exists nowhere else in the world.
