Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and Tanzania's Vice President Dr. Philip Mpango have held a meeting at Hamad International Airport in Doha, Qatar.
During the meeting held en route to Spain, discussions were held on various aspects of bilateral relations between the two countries, as informed by the Prime Minister's Secretariat. Prime Minister's Chief Advisor Bishnu Prasad Rimal and other officials were present during the meeting.
Prime Minister Oli, leading a 21-member delegation, left Kathmandu for Madrid, Spain to participate in the United Nations' Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development.
The delegation led by Prime Minister Oli reached Doha on Saturday night (Nepali time). Upon arrival, he was welcomed by Nepali Ambassador to Qatar, Ramesh Chandra Paudel, senior officials, and representatives from Qatar's Ministry of Foreign Affairs among others.
Prime Minister Oli is scheduled to reach Madrid, Spain, today via Qatar Airways. On the second day of the visit (June 29), the delegation will arrive in Seville, Spain, in the afternoon. Later, Prime Minister Oli is scheduled to address the closing plenary session of the conference organized by civil society.
The 21-member delegation includes Prime Minister Oli’s wife Radhika Shakya, Chief Advisor Bishnu Prasad Rimal, Foreign Secretary Amrit Bahadur Rai, Finance Secretary Ghanashyam Upadhyaya, Secretary of the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers Rajkumar Shrestha, Chief Private Secretary Rajesh Bajracharya, Prime Minister’s personal physician Dr. Smriti Shakya, Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Krishna Prasad Dhakal, Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Finance Dhaniraj Sharma, Chief Protocol Officer Kumar Raj Kharel, among others.
