CPN (Unified Socialist) has sought a clarification from leader Ram Kumari Jhankri for her controversial statement leveled against party chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal.
The central disciplinary commission deputy chief Balchandra Mishra on Tuesday sough the clarification, issuing a three-day deadline.
"A clarification letter has been sent to Jhankri, setting a three-day deadline," an office-bearer told Nepalkhabar.
Jhankri had raised a question on Chairman Nepal during an orientation program of Youth Association Nepal (YAN), a sister organization of the Unified Socialist, organized in Butwal on June 29.
"There has been a legal and constitutional issue concerning the chairperson. Several other party members are also facing problems," she said, adding, "Now, we can no longer move ahead carrying a dead body on our shoulders."
Nepal who has been implicated in the Patanjali land scam has been released on Rs 3.5 million bail. He has also been suspended from his parliamentary post.
The anti-graft body has filed a case against 93 individuals, including Nepal, in connection with the illegal sale and purchase of land exempted from demarcation. The land was registered under the name of Patanjali Yogpeeth and an Ayurvedic company in Kavrepalanchowk.
