The Nepali women football team has returned home today. The team which flew to Uzbekistan to participate in AFC Asian Cup Qualifiers arrived in Kathmandu today after playing three matches.
All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) officials including General Secretary Kiran Rai reached the TIA to welcome the team.
Despite two wins in the qualifying match held in Uzbekistan, Nepal faced a defeat in the last match. As a result, Nepal could not get selected in the Asian Cup Qualifiers.
Even though Nepal leveled the 3-3 score in the allotted time of the final match, it faced a 4-2 defeat at the hands of Uzbekistan in the penalty shootout.
