Nepali Congress General Secretary Gagan Kumar Thapa has urged the party leaders and cadres to move ahead in unition saying that conspiracies are being hatched to weaken the party's roles of and its existence.
General Secretary Thapa said this at a program organized to mark the establishment day of the Nepal Democratic Adivasi Janajati Mahasangh, an organization closely associated with Nepali Congress in Sanepa on Friday.
Saying that Nepali Congress is the sole party committed to protecting the rights of indigenous nationalities, Thapa claimed that no other political parties genuinely prioritize their issues.
"There is no other parities but Nepali Congress committed to safeguard the rights of indigenous nationalities. If the Nepali Congress wavers in its commitment, the indigenous nationalities risk losing the rights they have gained so far." General Secretary Thapa stated that the party's active membership renewal process would be completed by mid-October.
