Two killed, two injured as speeding bus hits auto-rickshaw in Kapilvastu

Two auto-rickshaw-borne people have died and two others sustained critical injures after being hit by a speeding bus at Kapilvastu on Sunday night.

The deceased are identified as 50-year-old Rit Bahadur Sunar and Rabina Rana, 18, confirmed DSP Ritendra Singh of District Police Office (DPO), Kapilvastu.

The passenger bus, Ga 1 Kha 90 13, struck the auto-rickshaw, Lu 1 Ha 4154, at Umari in Shivraj Municipality-1.

Critically injured Sunar and Rana breathed their last in the course of treatment at City Hospital in Bhairahawa, said DSP Singh.

The other injured Pabitra Sunar of Shakti Bhandari, 18, of Pyuthan are undergoing treatment at the same hospital.

Police said they are investigating the case after taking the bus involved in the accident and auto driver, the police said.
