PM Oli to visit Turkmenistan on August 3

Oli informed about his upcoming Turkmenistan visit while addressing a meeting of the National Assembly today.

"The mountains are facing acute impact of the global warming. It's challenging to save them. We hosted Sagarmatha Sambaad and drew the international community's attention toward our mountains. Recently, I went to Spain where raised the same mountain issue. I am leaving for Turkmenistan on August 3."

Nepal has been putting forth the mountain issues in various international forums regarding how to save mountains, of late.

Likewise, Oli presented possible challenges Nepal will face after graduating to the status of a developing country. Nepal is scheduled to graduate for a developing country in 2026.

"There will challenges before Nepal to meet the sustainable development goals by 2030 after graduating to the status of a developing country," he said, "Nepal is ahead of many other countries in the world in terms of many aspects."
