UNDP Resident Coordinator in Nepal, Hanaa Singer Hamdy, called on Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak on Thursday.

Hamdy met Minister Lekhak at Home Ministry, Singha Durbar. She expressed views on government efforts to conclude remaining tasks of peace process through the transitional justice mechanisms.

She also expressed commitment that UNDP would assist Nepal continuously in conclusion of peace process and collaboration on disaster management.

On the occasion, Minister Lekhak reminded that Nepal government was working actively to conclude the peace process through the Truth and Reconciliation Commission and the Commission on Inquiry of Enforced Disappeared Persons.

He also expressed gratitude to UNDP for the support provided so far on disaster management and sought further support and collaboration in the days ahead.
