Class 12 results out: 61.17% (regular), 36.49% (partial) graded

The results for Class 12 have been published.

The National Examination Board (NEB) today made public the results of the exams for Class 12 conducted from May 4 to 16.

According to Krishna Prasad Sharma, the Controller of Examinations, 284 thousand 285 examinees have been graded.

A total of 510, 987 students including 396, 347 (regular) and 114,640 (partial) had participated in the exams, according to the Board.

While 242 thousand 465 (61.17%) examinees received grades under regular category, 41, 840 (36.49%) have been graded under partial category. The exams of 17 studnets canceled. 

According to the results published by the NEB, 13 thousand 502 have been placed between GPA 3.6 to GPA 4, followed by 55,896 examinees who received GPA 3.2 to GPA 3.6.

Similarly, 94 thousand 268 have received GPA 2.8 to GPA 3.2 while 69 thousand 812 examinees obtained GPA 2.4 to GPA 2.8. Likewise, 8,964 examinees received GPA 2.1 to GPA 2.4, 23 examinees obtained GPA 1.6 to GPA 2 while 153,882 have been non-graded.

As many as 28,356 examinees have been non-graded in English subject. This is the highest number of examinees receiving non-grades.

The exams had been postponed by 10 days due to protests by the Teachers' Federation.

The Board had initially prepared to conduct the Class 12 exams starting from April 24 this year.

Class 12 is considered the final examination at the school level.

The results can be viewed through the Board's website result.neb.gov.np or neb.gov.np or Nepal Telecom's website https://neb.ntc.net.np.

The grade upgradation examination for students with non-grades will be conducted on August 13 and 14, the Board said.
