With the landslides and flooding triggered by monsoon rains, seven highways have fully been disrupted across the country.
Vehicles have stayed off these highways due to damages caused the rains today, the Nepal Police headquarters has said. Similarly, only one-way traffic is operating on other nine highways in the country.
Those disrupted highways are Koshi Highway in Bhotkhola Rural Municipality-4 of Sankhuwasabha, the bridge connecting Nepal-China checkpoint and Pasang Lhamu Highway in Gosaikunda Rural Muncipality of Rasuwa, Arniko Highway in Bhotekoshi Rural Municipality of Sindhupalchowk, East-West Highway in Binayi Triveni Rural Municipality-2 of Nawalparasi East, and Mid-Hill Highway in Madhya Nepal Municipality-9 of Lamjung.
Similarly, Kathmandu-Nuwakot Highway, Mid-Hill Highway of Laliguras Municipality-7 of Tehrathum, Trishuli-Mailung Syapru Road in Uttargaya Galchhi, Rasuwa, Kaligandaki Corridor in Baglung Muncipality-10 of Baglung, Mid-Hill Highway in Kathekhola-6 of Baglung, Kaligandaki Corridor in Gaindakot of Nawalparasi East, Beni-Jomsom Road in Thasang Rural Municipality-4, Mustang, Prithvi Highway in Bandipur-4 of Tanahun have been disrupted. Only one-way traffic is operating on these highways.
Likewise, the traffic is operating one-way along Pokhara-Baglung Highway in Annapurna Rural Municipality of Kaski, Ridi-Tamghas Road in Annapurna Rural Municipality of Kaski, Rapti Highway in Lamahi Municipality-9 of Dang, and Sahid Highway in Pariwartan Rural Municipality of Rolpa, the police said.
