Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said the newly formed cabinet has addressed the mandate expressed by the people in the general elections held recently.

Talking to journalists following the first cabinet meeting on Monday evening, Prachanda said the cabinet has been formed as per the mandate given by the people.

"There are challenges galore ahead. The cabinet addressed the mandate expressed by the people in the elections. It has given new hope to the people in general," said Prachanda.

Prachanda said the cabinet will prioritize good governance as service delivery to the people and end the hassles faced by people while obtaining passports and licenses.

This was the first cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Prachanda following his appointment as the new prime minister of Nepal. He was sworn-in as the 44th prime minister at Sheetal Niwas today and formed an eight-member cabinet today itself.
