Bipin Joshi's mother Padma reached Israel on Monday for his release. Padma from Kanchanpur tearfully appealed to Hamas not to separate her from her son.

Bipin, a student at Tikapur Agriculture Campus, a constituent of Far Western University, had gone to Israel in the second week of September 2023 under the "Learn and Earn" program. However, on October 7, 2023, when Hamas attacked Israel, he was taken hostage along with Israeli citizens and held captive in Gaza. Bipin has been out of contact since then. Although it is said that he is in Hamas' custody, it has not yet been confirmed whether he is alive or not.

Meanwhile, his mother Padma and sister Pushpa went to Israel on Monday to increase international pressure for his release. As soon as they exited Ben Gurion Airport, journalists surrounded them.

According to The Times of Israel, during this time, Bipin's mother Padma tearfully pleaded, "Please! Save my son. Hamas, send him back home immediately. Please! Return him home, Hamas. Please! Please!"

Bipin's 17-year-old sister Pushpa thanked the Israeli public and government officials for their support in bringing them to Israel.

She said, "My brother came to Israel for his studies under an educational program but got caught in the war, which has nothing to do with him."

Pushpa added, "We want him back. It's been almost two years. What is he doing there in Gaza? Is he getting food or not? Is he receiving medicine or not?"

Meanwhile, The Australian magazine has published a list of those believed to be held captive and alive by Hamas. However, Bipin Joshi's name/picture is not included in it.
