Nepal has defeated the test-playing nation, West Indies, by 90 runs in the 2nd T20I match held in the United Arab Emirates.
With the win, Nepal has won the T20I series ahead of one match.
Nepal restricted West Indies to 83 runs while the latter was chasing the 174-run target.
To restrict the opponent to such a low-run score, Mohammad Aadil Alam took the highest 4 wickets followed by Kushal Bhurtel with 3 wickets while Dipendra Singh Airee, Karan KC and Lalit Rajbanshi claimed 1 wicket each for Nepal.
Jason Holder's 21-run score was the highest for West Indies. Ackeem Auguste and Amir Jangoo scored 17 and 16 runs, respectively while the other batsmen could not reach double-digit runs.
Earlier, electing to bat first after winning the toss at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium on Monday, Nepal notched up 173 runs losing six wickets in the allotted 20 overs.
Aasif Sheikh topped the score with 68 runs including 8 fours and 2 sixes off 47 deliveries and remained not out. Similarly, Sundeep Jora scored 63 runs including 3 fours and 5 sixes off 39 balls while Mohammad Aadil Alam contributed 11 runs. The other batsmen could not achieve significant runs.
On the bowling side, Akeal Hosein and Kyle Mayers grabbed 2 wickets each and Jediah Blades took 1 wicket for West Indies.
In the first match held on September 27, Nepal had defeated West Indies by 19 runs.
The third and the final match of the T20I series between Nepal and West Indies will be held tomorrow (Tuesday).
